Tickets are now available for the Fall Musical - Orphan Train.
Experience the story of six orphans who were sent by train to Iowa homes in the 1870s, away from their home city of New York. This musical is based on true events, where a visionary minister sent "surplus children" away from the city to find homes and work in the countryside. Bishop Luers is the first high school in Indiana to perform this musical!

Today Bishop Luers had an All-School Mass celebrating the recent canonization of Saint Carlo Acutis, the first millennial saint.
During his homily, Father Theodore connected Saint Carlo's life to all of us, as Carlo was good at using computers and technology. He said, "Holiness can be found in the use of the internet and social media platforms like Facebook, Tik Tok, X, etc. By proper use of these, you can find God."
After Mass, students had the opportunity to venerate a first class relic of Saint Carlo.

Today 26 Hispanic students attended the Latinos Count Workshop/Luncheon; students were selected who had a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students attended workshops on college essay writing and workforce/entrepreneurial opportunities; they also learned about the importance of higher education and scholarship opportunities to help Hispanic students.
Latinos Count annually awards $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors, and in 2025 Bishop Luers graduate, Kimberly Ramirez, received one of these scholarships. She also attended the luncheon, was recognized and asked to share the importance of a college education.

Nine of our students are attending CNA classes at the University of Saint Francis through our Career Readiness Program partnership! They join students from other Fort Wayne area schools for class on the university campus, taught by Brooke Vogleman, LPN, CNA-QMA Faculty and Sites Coordinator.
