You won't want to miss the musical, this is history in the making!! Not only are L. E. McCullough (author of the Orphan Train book) and Doug Katsaros (Music Director of Orphan Train - the Musical) coming in from out of state to see the performance on Saturday night, Susan Ensley, a descendent of one of the orphans who actually travelled on the orphan train will be in attendance!

Bishop Luers is one of the first high schools to perform Orphan Train in the United States, and the first high school in Indiana to perform it!

Today Bishop Luers had an All-School Mass, and on Monday and Tuesday, the freshmen went on retreat! Their retreat theme: Created and Claimed. Students had the opportunity to hear testimonies from missionaries, attend Mass, participate in small group discussion, and recreation time. Thank you to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. Vincent de Paul parishes for providing a space for us!

Great kickoff to the Battle of the Bishops this week! Bishop Luers and Bishop Dwenger students volunteered together yesterday at the Diocesan All-Schools Mass, singing in the choir and directing traffic in the parking lot.

Before we compete on the football field this weekend, Bishop Luers and Bishop Dwenger are participating in a challenge to collect the most donations for the Women's Care Center in Fort Wayne. Who will win? 👀👀

Bishop Luers staff attended a retreat today at the University of Saint Francis! They had the opportunity for Confession, Adoration, and Mass. Fr. Theodore gave a talk, and each participant picked a saint to intercede for them through the rest of the year. #LuersSpirit #catholicidentity

This past summer, Mrs. Carroll and Mr. Ebbeskotte travelled to the University of Notre Dame to attend the week-long Teaching Life and Human Dignity Symposium. There they participated in lectures with experts in the field along with other Catholic educators, learning about the Church's teaching on human dignity and how to integrate it into the daily Catholic school curriculum.

A few weeks ago, the National Honors Society took their annual trip to Camp Potawatomi! Students learned valuable lessons about leadership and teamwork through a series of challenges. Students participated in a race where half of their group was "blind" and the other half was "deaf." They also built boats out of cardboard and tested them in the lake to see whose would last the longest! A highlight of the trip this year was the rock wall, where students attempted to climb over a series of obstacles.
