Bishop Luers Knights will face the Norwell Knights this Friday, October 31 at 7pm at LUERSFIELD.
Just a friendly reminder - Regular season passes can NOT be accepted at the football sectional game this Friday (student ID's, SAC passes, etc.) All spectators must purchase a ticket at the gate or online using this link (fees apply): https://athletics.bishopluers.org/Tickets

Each week we will share a fun-fact or historical trivia from Bishop Luers High School! There are a lot of great stories/traditions that have originated at Bishop Luers.
With football sectionals this Friday, hosted at LUERSFIELD, we wanted to highlight a historical fact about the field itself! The Bishop Luers Knights will face the Norwell Knights on Friday, October 31 at 7pm.

This semester, our students have been very creative in art class! Mrs. Thornbrugh has assigned some great projects, including Yarn Portraits, Printmaking, Graffiti Writing, and Mandala Color Wheels.
Yarn Portraits: The yarn portraits are inspired by Huichol yarn painting from Mexico. The students each chose a saint to recreate with yarn painting.
Saint Francis Portraits: They were created using linocut printmaking. All of the students in that class chose to do Saint Francis because at the time we were approaching his feast day.
Word Art: The words were a group effort. Mrs. Thornbrugh's Intro 2D classes had learned about graffiti writing, and she asked them to each write one word from Saint Francis's prayer in the graffiti style to go with the portraits that her Advanced class made.
Mandala Color Wheels: The colorful projects are all from the beginning of the year when Mrs. Thornbrugh's classes were studying color theory. They created mandala color wheels using watercolor and ink and abstract compositions with oil pastels.
