This year, Bishop Luers is launching a new student-run business: the Spirit Store.
Students will be involved in every part of the store, from choosing merchandise and managing inventory to creating designs, promoting products, running social media, handling finances, making sales, and helping customers. It’s a great opportunity for them to gain real business experience while creating a store that reflects what our students, families, alumni, and Bishop Luers community want.
Meet the 2026–2027 Spirit Store leadership team:

VPs of Marketing: Jaz Nino & Judah Allen
VP of Branding: Tayler Albers
VP of Inventory: Peter Brough
The team has set several goals for its first year, including increasing Spirit Store sales, growing its social media presence, offering new merchandise and designs, providing excellent customer service, and creating a strong foundation for future students to build on.
Mrs. Carroll, Mr. Shank, and Mrs. Gould will support the team throughout the year, but the students will be making the decisions, working through challenges, developing ideas, and learning what it takes to run a business.
We’d love for the Luers community to be part of it!

Teachers then had the opportunity to participate in small group synodal discussions about education in Catholic schools. Notes from these small group discussions were compiled and given to the Diocese as they continue to develop Catholic school programs.

Back to School Night is next week! Parents will have the chance to walk through their student's daily classroom schedule and meet teachers. The Senior Parent meeting will begin at 6pm that evening before Back to School Night.

Fr. Sam Martinez posed this question during his homily at the first All-School Mass of the semester at Bishop Luers. He noted that it is easy to fall into the temptation to have a false piety like the Pharisees to impress others, instead of living for God from the heart.

Mike Ward ’87 knew how to make an impact on the basketball court.
As a standout for the Bishop Luers Knights, Mike helped build the proud tradition that generations of Luers athletes have carried forward. But the legacy Mike left behind reaches far beyond points scored, games won or moments under the lights.
His greatest example came in the way he lived — and in the extraordinary courage, determination and heart he showed throughout his health battles and his fight against cancer.
