Mrs. Gould and a group of students interested in education attended Teacher Cadet Day at the University of Saint Francis last Friday. The event featured an inspiring keynote from Graciela Miranda, the 2025 Indiana Teacher of the Year, and gave attendees the opportunity to explore innovative learning spaces like the Cougar Classroom and the Murray’s Minds Experiential Lab (M&M Lab).
One of the highlights was the Lesson Planning Challenge, where students demonstrated creativity and strong instructional planning skills. The $1,000 Teacher-to-Teacher Scholarship, generously funded by Saint Francis alumna and lifelong educator Kathy Schnurr, was awarded to Gertie Andersen for her exceptional lesson plan.
