The BLHS Rifle Team is excited to offer the following Summer Camp Opportunities:

June 8–11: 6pm-8pm
June 15–18: 6pm-8pm
July 6–9: 6pm- 8pm

Cost is $125. Please reach out to Patrick Stone (patrick.c.stone@gmail.com) for registration instructions.

Summer camp is 100% optional but certainly encouraged. This will teach athletes the basics around handling and shooting air rifles along with the 3 positions used in the sport. This will give them a head start for the season and is a great way for them to try out the sport before committing to the Bishop Luers Rifle Team.

The Baccalaureate Mass was held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception this morning, celebrated by Bishop Kevin Rhoades. Joining him were several priests affiliated with Bishop Luers High School. Graduation begins at 3 this afternoon!

Today, Mrs. Baumgartner's AP Chemistry students took part in the first annual AP Chemistry Top Chef competition as their final exam. Students researched a topic in molecular gastronomy to learn how chemistry is applied to culinary processes and prepared a dish to share with the class.

1st Place went to Pete Allen who made creme brulee to illustrate the Maillard Reaction!

Mrs. Baumgartner also received a special banner as a parting gift from Brandtly Hike and Jack Klinger.

Each semester, Mrs. Carroll's business classes and Mr. Stanski's Economics classes compete in the Indiana Stock Market simulation game where they invest a fictious $100,000 in the stock market. The students with the highest return on their investments are invited to the Indiana Statehouse to meet the Indiana Secretary of State, Diego Morales, and tour the beautiful statehouse building. Braydon Bentley placed 3rd for Northeast Indiana in the Fall competition and was available to visit the statehouse. Congratulations, Braydon, and congratulations to all of the other Bishop Luers students who placed!

On Monday, Bishop Luers Chaplain Fr. Theodore arranged for Ms. Sturm's English Class to video call with students at his former high school, St. Thomas Aquinas, in Nigeria. The class got to talk with Nigerian students about similarities and differences and the novel they just finished reading, Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. It was a beautiful experience!

Bishop Luers had the Senior Mass with May Crowning this morning, honoring Mary by bringing her flowers. This year, seniors decorated a candle and gave it to someone special who has impacted them. We are thankful for our senior class of 2026 and all their parents who came to support them today. ❤️🖤❤️
