During Mission Day today, teachers and administration from the Fort Wayne Catholic schools congregated at Bishop Dwenger High School. Bishop Rhoades celebrated Mass for all. Bishop Luers High School participated in the first All-School Mass of the semester today, on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Paolo celebrated Mass and gave a powerful homily about our ultimate goal in life, Heaven. Deacon Michael Hickey, a 2016 Bishop Luers graduate, returned to school to serve at Mass.
Following Mass, Bishop Luers held the Fall Awards Ceremony, honoring achievements during the 2025 spring semester. Congratulations to all of our award recipients!

Bishop Luers Community - The City of Fort Wayne has announced significant road closures on Paulding Avenue starting on September 2, 2025, which may impact the commute to and from Bishop Luers. During this time, we ask all drivers to be careful as they navigate the construction.
Paulding will be closed to thru traffic at various times throughout the project, from Noll Avenue to Hoagland Avenue. The main (front) entrance and exit to Bishop Luers will remain open on Paulding Road. The back entrance/exit road (Doan Drive) will also be open. Noll Avenue will not be accessible from Paulding Road. Those driving north on Airport Expressway will be the most affected, and will need to take a detour.

Mrs. Ferdon took a group of Bishop Luers students to Europe this past summer. What an adventure!
They travelled through Italy, Monaco, France, and Barcelona, Spain. They toured, shopped, dined, swam, and walked a lot as they experienced so many inspiring and magnificent places!

Our current gym is at full capacity, and the growing student body needs space to train and compete. The new addition will include:
- An auxiliary gym with performing arts stage
- The Bishop Luers Hall of Fame
- Locker rooms, concessions, restrooms, a weight room, and staff offices
- 100 additional parking spaces for our growing community

A large number of students, staff, and coaches participated in the 3rd Annual Walk of the Knights today! This march, safely led by police escort, allowed the students to travel from Bishop Luers to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception to dedicate the year and the sports season to Jesus through the intercession of Our Lady.
Once reaching the Cathedral, Fr. Paolo led participants in the Holy Rosary, followed by a blessing. What a great way to start the school year!
