Bishop Luers Juniors and Seniors recently attended JA Career Ignite at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. This is the largest career exploration expo in our region, with high schools around northeast Indiana participating.

Bishop Luers High School is proud to present the Class of 2026 Valedictorian and Salutatorian, Ella Funk and Alison Hoffman! 🎉🎉

Ella plans to attend Indiana University Bloomington to study Biology. Her four most rewarding extra-curricular activities include Academic Super Bowl (where she was Science and English team captain), Theater (All 12 shows), National Honor Society (President), and Mayor's Youth Engagement Council. Congratulations Ella!

Alison plans to attend either Purdue Fort Wayne or Manchester University to study Engineering/Biology. Her four most rewarding extracurricular activities include Softball, National Honor Society, Volunteer work, and going outside/exploring. Congratulations Alison!

Today was Fr. Theodore Ekwem's final time celebrating an All-School Mass at Bishop Luers High School, as he will be leaving us for other priestly assignments at the end of the semester. Assistant Principal Mandy Allen wore a Nigerian outfit that Fr. Theodore's mother had made for her as a sign of gratitude today. We are so thankful for the joy, laughter, and knowledge that Fr. Theodore has brought to Bishop Luers during his time here. ❤️🖤❤️ He will be missed!

Another exciting update from the Bishop Luers Rifle Team:

At the Air Rifle State Championship, the BLHS Rifle Team placed 7th overall out of 15 teams in the 60 shot standing position beating Bellmont Red, Concordia, Bellmont Blue, Carroll, The X Count IA, Versailles American Legion, Culver, and Floyd Central.

Also, the team placed 11th overall out of 16 teams in the 3 position match beating The X Count, Concordia P2, Culver V, Floyd Central, Culver P, and Concordia P3.

Congratulations to incoming freshman Sammie Spoltman on medaling in the following U15 categories:
1st Place Gold Medal - Prone
2nd Place Silver Medal - Standing
3rd Place Bronze Medal - 3 Position
3rd Place Bronze Medal - IA Standing 60 Shot
3rd Place Bronze Medal - Kneeling Smallbore

On Monday, Bishop Luers choir members attended the 2026 St. Cecilia Choral Festival, hosted at Bishop Dwenger. They spent the day rehearsing with choir directors and a guest clinician. Bishop Luers and Bishop Dwenger students formed one choir and gave a final performance of what they had learned in the evening. Great job everyone!
