SEATING: Visitors side has bleachers with 4 sections and is wheelchair accessible. Fans are welcome to stand along the fence line around the outside of the track. LAWN CHAIRS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
RESTROOMS – portable restrooms are on visitor side near ticket booth. Additional restrooms are located on the north side of the home bleachers - white trailer; accessible by walking around the north end of the track near Southgate Plaza.
PARKING – be mindful that we have limited parking spaces behind and in front of the school. Lutheran South Unity School allows parking in their lot for a fee. Please DO NOT park on the concrete walkway at the front door entrance of the school – grassy areas around the school are ok. Park at your own risk if muddy. City Church at 5300 Decatur Rd (across US 27) is allowing parking in their lot, however, fans will have to walk down Paulding Rd and cross US 27.
ROAD CLOSURES – Paulding Rd is currently closed from Noll Rd going west towards Fairfield Ave including the intersection of Paulding Rd & Calhoun St. Only one entrance into parking lot from Paulding Rd off of US 27. Noll Rd is currently closed – cannot enter off/exit onto Paulding Rd. Doan Dr is accessible off of Calhoun St for parking at the Lutheran school.

Congratulations to senior Ella Funk , who was selected to serve on the Mayor's Youth Engagement Council this year! She meets with Mayor Sharon Tucker and around 40 other students twice a month, to address different topics. Ella is on the Community Health and Wellbeing Committee, which is currently running a Toy Drive. Bishop Luers parents and students can support this drive by bringing items to school to turn in. Mrs. Gould and a group of students interested in education attended Teacher Cadet Day at the University of Saint Francis last Friday. The event featured an inspiring keynote from Graciela Miranda, the 2025 Indiana Teacher of the Year, and gave attendees the opportunity to explore innovative learning spaces like the Cougar Classroom and the Murray’s Minds Experiential Lab (M&M Lab).
One of the highlights was the Lesson Planning Challenge, where students demonstrated creativity and strong instructional planning skills. The $1,000 Teacher-to-Teacher Scholarship, generously funded by Saint Francis alumna and lifelong educator Kathy Schnurr, was awarded to Gertie Andersen for her exceptional lesson plan.

Today, the BLHS Knights for Life club welcomed Father LeeAllen Fortin as a guest speaker. Father Fortin serves at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. His own personal witness was a powerful message reminding us that the circumstances of one’s conception never diminish the dignity and worth of human life.
With compassion and conviction, Father Fortin called us to uphold the truth that every life is a precious gift from God, deserving of love, respect, and protection from the moment of conception.
