Bishop Luers has 9 students displaying artwork in the University of Saint Francis 50th High School Art Exhibition. The students are: Luisa Koenig, Victoria Koenig, Kayla Smith, Lucas Craver, Gertie Anderson, Christian Rogers, Lyla Kelty, Ethan Wood, and Lucila Godinez Towns. The artwork will be on display at the Weatherhead Gallery in the Rolland Art Center from January 16th through February 26th. In class, the students learned about Alibrijes, which are Mexican folk art statues originated by the artist Pedro Linares. Each student was tasked with creating a mythical animal using paper mache, and they painted the outside with detailed patterns. #LuersSpirit
