Help us close the gap!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Bishop Luers community, we’ve raised $81,000 toward our $83,000 Annual Appeal goal. That means we’re just $2,000 away from achieving our goal. Every gift—big or small—brings us closer to the resources, programs, and opportunities that help our students shine. If you haven’t had a chance to contribute yet, now is the perfect moment to make an impact on our future Knights.
Let’s finish strong, together.

Mrs. Rosales' Spanish IV class participated in a dynamic and culturally enriching activity during finals. Each student selected an original recipe from a Spanish-speaking country, showcasing their understanding of cultural diversity and culinary traditions.
During the presentations, the classroom transformed into a vibrant kitchen setting. Students demonstrated the preparation of their chosen dishes, explained the origins of each recipe, discussed serving traditions, and shared their personal reasons for selecting those particular recipes. This interactive format not only engaged their peers but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the culinary arts within Spanish-speaking cultures.
To enhance the experience, students brought real ingredients and invited classmates to sample the food or drink they prepared. This hands-on approach allowed for an immersive experience, reinforcing language skills through practical application.
Additionally, students submitted essays that articulated the details of their dishes, emphasizing their research and understanding of the cultural significance behind them. This comprehensive assignment underscored the importance of language proficiency, cultural awareness, and effective communication, aligning seamlessly with Indiana's educational standards for world languages.
