Programs We Offer

Show Choir

Bishop Luers High School has a nationally ranked show choir and is home to the longest-running Show Choir Invitational in the nation! Director Kris Andorfer hosted the first ever 50th Show Choir Invitational in the nation at Bishop Luers this past Spring. Bishop Luers is proud to be the place where high school swing choir competition began more than 45 years ago. In January of 1975 the Minstrels, the swing choir at Bishop Luers High School, conceived the idea of organizing and hosting a swing choir contest.

Concert Choir

Directed by Kris Andorfer, the Bishop Luers Concert Choirs provide sacred music for the All-School Masses once a month in the gym. They also perform during the Lessons and Carols program and have two concerts per year.

Theater

The Bishop Luers Performing Arts Theater Department, directed by Karlene Krouse, offers many ways for students to express their talent!

The Theater Department performs two musicals and one dramatic play each year. Students have the opportunity to earn college credits in Theater as they attend Bishop Luers High School.

Audition times are posted in the Performing Arts hallway for students who want to participate. For those who do not want to perform, there are also opportunities to help as a stage crew member.

Directed by Adam Hanke, students perform in a Christmas and Spring Concert each year, as well as at Pep Sessions. The Pep Band performs at football and basketball games.

St. Cecilia Honor Band: Bishop Luers High School partners with Bishop Dwenger High School for our annual St. Cecilia Honor Band program! Students from both high schools meet for a day of instruction with professional musicians, then perform a concert in the evening.
