What to do to prepare for High School Baseball...
Practice makes perfect - or at least a lot better! So just by practicing, you can prepare for the baseball season. Also, participating on a baseball team such as a traveling team or local Little League team will help you get ready for high school baseball. Follow the Knights on Game Changer or on Twitter @luersbaseball.
The baseball team plays their home games at the World Baseball Academy (WBA), also known as the Ash Center, in Fort Wayne.
A message from Head Coach Jeff Stanski:
As I start my forth year as the Head Coach of the Bishop Luers Baseball team, I'm excited to share our outlook for the season and future plans with you! Last year, we had a very strong and talented senior class that was denied the opportunity to play their final season due to Covid-19. Unfortunately, we were also unable to hold the annual Bishop Luers Baseball Camp, but it be back next year! We currently have three seniors on the roster, and a talented and eager group of Juniors, Freshman and Sophomores, so the future looks bright! We are very excited to begin our season!
We are fortunate that we will continue practicing and playing at the wonderful facilities of the World Baseball Academy (WBA), also known as the Ash Centre, in Fort Wayne. They have state-of-the-art turf diamonds, affording tremendous opportunities to our players. We encourage you and your families to catch a game this spring to see for yourselves the beauty of the WBA.
I would like to ask for your support to make this season, and future seasons, increasingly successful! Next year we would love to be able to travel south during spring break and play games in southern Indiana and Kentucky. We hope to fundraise enough money to pay for transportation, food and lodging. Additionally, we need to replace much of our older equipment, including our catcher's gear and bats. The players will be selling Mike’s car washes again this year, which does help subsidize our program, but we would love to count on your support as well. Click to the button below to give online, or make your check payable to Bishop Luers Baseball!
As a sign of our appreciation and loyalty to those of you who give $150.00 or more by April 5, 2021 will have their name or company name on the back of our practice jerseys. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the individual or company’s name you wish to have appear on the back of our shirts.
Thank you for supporting the Bishop Luers Baseball program! Go Knights!
