"Bishop Luers High School will vibrantly show the face of Christ in the actions and ministry of all students, families, teachers and staff."
Campus ministry at Bishop Luers High School seeks to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ by participating in the work of the Catholic faith community, while fostering their total personal and spiritual growth.
Campus Ministry shares with the entire school community opportunities for enriching the spiritual lives of the students, their families, faculty and staff. Through prayer, liturgical celebrations, retreats, peer ministry, community service, and pastoral counseling, we integrate gospel values into the daily life of the school. Campus Ministry is sensitive to the religious and moral growth of all students of all faiths.
The chapel is always open during school hours for private prayer or for individual class prayer services. Stations of the Cross are prayed every Fridays during Lent. Reconciliation is available during lunch periods on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. All-School Reconciliation is scheduled during Advent and Lent. 2:50 p.m. Mass is celebrated on Wednesdays.
We are blessed to have many of our area priests available to our students and staff on a regular basis. The chaplains assigned to our school are Rev. Benjamin Muhlenkamp and Rev. Thomas Zehr. We are privileged to have many priests available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation as scheduled or upon request or conversation with students or staff. Our priest chaplains, pastoral minister and principal are available for individual pastoral guidance, support or referral for students, faculty, parents and families on request.
