Business Office

Mission Statement
The Business Office supports the Mission and Vision of Bishop Luers High School.  We manage the assets while helping families with individual needs in the best way possible.  We serve our families by doing our best to be good disciples and stewards of what God brings to us daily for those who are currently with us and all who have passed through our doors.
In the process we collect funds, balance budgets, manage and record financial activity.  We do our best to be the listening ear by showing support to our families through financial assistance, scholarships and support.
The Business Office staff does this for our Bishop Luers Families, Staff, Alumni, Administration, Teachers, Diocese, Priests, Vendors, and all our Friends.
We strive to be accurate, transparent, and consistent with honesty and integrity.
Our purpose is to bring honor to God through our beliefs, our behavior, our actions, our words, our attitudes, our work, our values, and our practice.

529 Expansion for K12 Tuition in the Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2017

Effective January 1, 2018 families may use 529 education savings plans for K12 tuition at private schools.  We have created the fact sheet below - please share widely!  It's important to get this news out to all Catholics, not just school parents. Grandparents, Godparents, Aunts/Uncles all can help fund a 529 and help send a child to Catholic school. Please post, share, print, email and insert in your parish bulletin!

529 FACT Sheet

However, as you can expect, there has been significant push back from parental choice opponents at the state level. Please see this "Next Steps" document for school and policy leaders with recommendations on how to assess and respond to attacks on the 529 Expansion. Please use this guide as a tool to create your own state-specific plan!

529 Next Steps

Finally, to get a feel for how opponents are responding, here is a list of news articles from across the country, I will continue to add more to this list!
