Step-by-Step

Bishop Luers High School now has a secure gateway to allow users to access the server farm from any internet connection in the world.   

To access the (128 bit encrypted) Secure Gateway type the following address into your web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.):

https://portal.bishopluers.org

Click on YES to accept the certificate

If you do not have the Citrix ICA plug-in installed.

Click on the “ICA Web Client for 32-bit Windows” link.  When given the option click on the ‘OPEN’ button.  This will download the client and start the installation of the secure gateway.  Depending on the speed of your connection this could take a few seconds to several minutes.

Follow the instructions through the installation wizard, and then exit your web browsing application (Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.).

Restart your web browsing application and type the following address into your web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.):

https://portal.bishopluers.org

Login in with the same username and password you use at Bishop Luers High School.  If you have yet to log in at school and change your initial password you will need to do so before trying this at home.

The next screen will show you your authorized applications.  This will be dependent on your credentials; different users may have different options here.  All users should click on the Desktop icon to access the desktop they use while at school.  Your session will be launched as if you were at school.
