Adopt-A-Knight
In 1998 we began a program here at Bishop Luers High School called
Adopt-A-Knight. This program was developed to help families that were
struggling with tuition. Each school year more than half of our families
need tuition aid. These parents wish for a Catholic education for their
children. All pay what they are able according to their income. Bishop
D’Arcy feels that no one should be denied attendance at Bishop Luers
High School because of the inability to pay.
To qualify for the Adopt-A-Knight program families are required to fill
out a financial aid packet, make tuition payments according to the
arrangements made at registration, and show additional financial need.
When money is donated to the program is it dispersed to the families in
need.
Through our ADOPT-A-KNIGHT program we have been able to help many
families. Businesses and individuals have been very generous with their
support. A general donation may be made which would be used as the need
arises. Tuition and fees for one student who is registered in a Diocesan
Parish for the 2008-2009 school year is $4850. If the student is a
senior, there is also a graduation fee of $125. Of course, all gifts are
confidential and tax-deductible. Your donation is not tax deductible
according to the tax laws if you designate a specific student. Donations
may be sent to Bishop Luers High School in care of
Mary Keefer or
Mrs. Kathy Skelly, 333 E. Paulding
Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46816.
If you are interested in learning more about the Adopt-A-Knight program

Thank you for considering the importance of a Catholic education here at
Bishop Luers. We are deeply grateful for your caring and support.
