Vision of Campus Ministry

"Bishop Luers High School will vibrantly show the face of Christ in the actions and ministry of all students, families, teachers and staff."

Campus Ministry

Campus ministry at Bishop Luers High School seeks to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ by participating in the work of the Catholic faith community, while fostering their total personal and spiritual growth.

Campus Ministry shares with the entire school community opportunities for enriching the spiritual lives of the students, their families, faculty and staff.  Through prayer, liturgical celebrations, retreats, peer ministry, community service, and pastoral counseling, we integrate gospel values into the daily life of the school.  Campus Ministry is sensitive to the religious and moral growth of all students of all faiths.

Chapel

We are privileged to have the Blessed Sacrament reserved in our school chapel daily. Daily prayer is at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel. The Rosary for Life is prayed every Thursday morning in the chapel (or outside at the grotto weather permitting) at 7:20 A.M.  Weekday Mass is celebrated as announced (usually on First Friday) in the chapel after school at 3:00 P.M.  Eucharistic Adoration is held on First Fridays.

The chapel is always open during school hours for private prayer or for individual class prayer services. Stations of the Cross are prayed every Friday afternoon at 3:00 P.M. during Lent.  Reconciliation is held every Mondayl, Wednesday and Friday during lunch periods. All-School Reconciliation is scheduled as announced for Advent and for Lent.

Priests & Pastoral Care

We are blessed to have many of our area priests available to our students and staff on a regular basis.  The Chaplain assigned to our school is Rev. Benjamin Muhlenkamp.  We are privileged to have many priests available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation as scheduled or upon request or conversation with students or staff. Our Priest Chaplain, Pastoral Minister, and Principal are available for individual pastoral guidance, support or referral for students, faculty, parents, and families on request.
