Bishop Luers High School continues to collect items to be donated for Hope for Harvey. The goal is to fill a tractor trailer that will be delivered to Houston, Texas, for recovery efforts. The trailer is donated, but a driver is needed. Contact Mrs. Beth Carlin if you know a driver who can volunteer to make the delivery to Houston.
Classes compete by bringing in items through Friday, Oct. 6. The class that brings in the most items wins a dress-down day and doughnuts.
Your generosity is appreciated. The community is also welcome to bring in canned foods, soaps and paper products. Several elementary feeder schools are partnering with Bishop Luers.
Bishop Luers classes are collecting the following items:
- freshmen, bottled water;
- sophomores, dish, cleaning and laundry soap;
- juniors, paper towels, towels and rags;
- seniors, toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste and feminine hygiene products;
- teachers and staff, canned goods.
Items may be dropped off in the front lobby or the Door No. 3 entrance area. No clothes are collected for this drive.
Students will load the trailer on Oct. 6 for departure to Houston.
