Bishop Luers offers Hope for Harvey

Bishop Luers High School has initiated Hope for Harvey with the goal to fill a tractor trailer that will be delivered to Houston, Texas, for recovery efforts. Classes will compete between Sept. 18 and Oct. 6 to win a dress-down day and doughnuts in October.

Brodmerkel, Sorg named Distinguished Knights

Bishop Luers High School recently announced the recipients of the 2017 Distinguished Knight Awards after the celebration of the Mass at the Chapel of Saint Francis of Assisi for Homecoming on Sept. 22. Eileen Brodmerkel was named the outstanding alumnus, and John Sorg received the honorary alumnus.

Forms needed for Grandparents', VIPs' Day

Grandparent's and VIP Day for sophomores is Oct. 20 from 8:30 - 11 a.m. Forms were provided to sophomore students requesting grandparents' names or the name of the special person they choose to invite. The Office of Mission Advancement will be sending out invitations at the end of next week. Parents are asked to make sure the forms have been returned to the theology classes by Monday, Sept. 25.

Drama Department needs sponsor for productions

The Bishop Luers High School Drama Department will present "You Can't Take It With You," Oct. 7 and 8; and the Christmas musical, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," on Dec. 1, 2 and 3; and a spring musical to be announced at a later date, on April 27 and 28.

Walk-a-thon pledges due

Students received Walk-A-Thon packets on Friday, Sept. 15. Each student needs to raise $100 in donations. If a student has difficulty reaching the $100 goal, the Office of Mission Advancement has names of potential donors willing to help.
