SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
Students at Bishop Luers
High School have the opportunity to be involved with multiple service
ministries throughout the year. Student led service projects
throughout the year include monthly canned good drives for the
Franciscan Center and the Community Harvest Food Bank. The Advent
season finds students supporting Christmas toy, clothing and canned food
events. Baby clothes, diapers, and formula are collected yearly during
Advent for the Women’s Care Center. Lenten service projects include Rice
Bowl collections for Catholic Relief Services, and Heifer International.
Bishop Luers students volunteer in area
hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and other settings, sharing their
gifts with young and old alike. Bishop Luers is proud to have one of the
areas outstanding Key Clubs with a high level of student participation,
directed by Ms. Heather Briggs. Bishop Luers offers yearly service
trips to Habitat sites in West Virginia and Mississippi.
