BALL STATE
Miller College of Business Miller Scholars Program: Applicants must have high grades and test scores. Current Millers Scholars and Honors Program students: Average H.S. GPA 3.88, Average SAT: 1920, Average ACT: 28, Honors, AP, and college courses: English language and literature, Spanish, calculus, chemistry, U.S. history, economics, statistics, and government. Motivation is a primary characteristic of Miller Scholars and key in being considered for the program. There are brochures in room 144. BETHEL COLLEGE
Billy Kirk Leadership Award is an annual scholarship created in honor of the late Rev. William “Billy” Kirk Sr. to assist minority students in their pursuit of a private, Christian, and liberal arts education at Bethel College. Awards range from $500 up to full tuition. Criteria: Minority Students (US Citizens) enrolled full-time at Bethel College and living on campus. Seniors need to apply by March 1, 2010
BLUFFTON UNIVERSITY
Bluffton offered an average of $21,000 in financial aid to our entering the students this past year. Their website had a scholarship calculator for student to enter their GPA and ACT/Sat score and find out their initial scholarship level. Scholarships range from $5,000-$13,000. They also offer two full tuition scholarships through our prestigious Presidential Scholarship Competition. Application process:The admission application process must be completed by early January 2010, to be eligible for the Presidential Scholarship Competition. Learn more about the steps to apply at Bluffton. It is important to note that you must also register for the scholarship competition. BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY
You may be eligible for BGSU’s Freshman Academic Scholarships, ranging from $1,500. to full fees. The awards are based on your cumulative GPA and your ACT or SAT test score. To see if you qualify: go to www.bgsu.edu, click on University Freshman Academic Scholarship Calculator, Enter your ACT composite or SAT verbal + math score, Enter your GPA on a 4.0 scale, Check “Yes” or “No” box for Ohio Resident, hit the Calculate Scholarship button. You must apply to BGSU by January 15, 2009.
BRADLEY UNIVERSITY - $4,000 Neighbor State Grant for students from Indiana... Also, students in top third of their class, have an ACT score of 22 or higher (or an SAT of at least 1030) will qualify for an academic scholarship beginning at $4,000. Combined with the Neighbor State Grant an Indiana student will receive at least $8,000 per year. This scholarship opportunity is for students who apply for admission and are accepted no later than December 1, 2009.
DEFIANCE COLLEGE
Apply for admission online now. In order to attend the scholarship day,, students must be accepted for admission by November 6, 2009 or January 29, 2010.. HOPE COLLEGE
Hope/University of Michigan Biomedical Scholarship covers four years of tuition, room, and board at Hope, plus in-state tuition for four years of medical studies at U.M. Paid summer research opportunities were also built into the program. To qualify students must be African American, Mexican American, Mainland Puerto Rican, and or Native American.
There are several other scholarships available to those who choose Hope College. The need based Financial Aid should be submitted between January 1st and March 1st, 2010. There is a brochure in room 144 that outlines several scholarships offered at Indiana State University. The admission application serves as the scholarship application for some of the scholarships. Others are competitive, based on specific criteria, and have individual deadlines.

21st Century Scholarship Covenant – As you may know a 21st Century Scholarship covers tuition and fees. At I.U. you may also qualify for the 21st Century Scholarship Covenant, which may cover the rest of your cost of attendance, based on family contribution. I.P.F.W.
I.P.F.W. provides Luers with a booklet outlining their scholarship information. This booklet can be found in room 144 in the school specific scholarship box. The Financial Aid Office at IPFW administers a wide variety of scholarships annually for IPFW students. Many scholarships are based on both financial need and academic achievement. Only a few scholarships are based entirely on academic achievement. Application procedures and deadlines vary, so students should contact the source listed in the Booklet.
Dr. Beaumont S. Cornell Scholarship – This prestigious scholarship intended to assist students in completing a pre-med program with minimal debt. The application deadline is March 31, 2009.
Allen Co. Extension Homemakers Scholarship – One scholarship will be awarded to an Allen County graduating senior who will be attending Purdue University, West Lafayette, or IPFW as a full time student in the fall of 2009 in the College of Consumer and Family Sciences. Scholarship Criteria will be based upon scholastic achievement, leadership and citizenship in school and community, career plans, and recommendations. Applications must be received in the Allen County Extension Office no later than 4:30 P.M., May 1.

Bepko Scholars and Fellows Program Scholarship – Application is based on a variety of factors: strength of the academic curriculum in secondary school, rank, standardized test results, grade trends, and demonstrated commitment to community service. Anna V. Wessel Memorial School of Physical Education & Tourism Management - One $10,000 scholarship for one incoming IUPUI freshmen female student who intends to study in the field of Physical Education. To be eligible, students must qualify for financial aid (as defined through FAFSA), have a 2.5G.P.A. in high school, satisfactory SAT/ACT scores, and be accepted for admission. Qualified applicants must participate in sports. Student athletes are eligible, but female students who participate in church leagues, community center leagues, youth leagues, youth organizations, or other recreational leagues are also encouraged to apply and will receive equal consideration.
OHIO NORTHERN
Students must apply for admission (by December 1, 2009) and be accepted to be eligible for scholarships. Students must be aware of the eligibility criteria for each scholarship he/she applies for. There is a list of those Awards and Scholarships in the “School Specific” scholarship box in room 144.
PURDUE UNIVERSITY - November 15, 2009, is the firm admission application deadline for Purdue’s Trustees and Presidential scholarships and the priority deadline for all other Purdue scholarships. To meet the deadline, the admission application must be complete by this date. A complete application includes all required material including ACT or SAT test score (including writing), high school transcript, and application fee.
The Trustees and Presidential scholarships are awarded automatically to qualified students. There also are a limited number of smaller merit scholarships, as well as need-based scholarships, that are awarded through a scholarship application process. The deadline for admitted students to submit the separate scholarship application for these awards is February 15, 2010. To maximize consideration for all possible scholarships, students should meet these deadlines and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1, 2010.
Purdue Promise is a new program for TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY SCHOLARS at Purdue. New first-year students who are confirmed Twenty-First Century Scholars with an annual combined family income of $40,000 or less will receive an aid package that meets their full financial need to attend Purdue. There is a brochure in room 144 with further details. Students must apply before the March 1, 2010 deadline.
Purdue - Allen Co. Purdue - Gemini Cooperative House Scholarship – These scholarships are available for incoming male students achieving at least a 3.0 High School G.P.A. All applicants must have participated in at least one varsity sport or school activity and show evidence of leadership. Applications must be postmarked by Saturday, February 14, 2010.
Purdue – Society of Women Engineers – Regional High School Rube Goldber Contest – The goal is to take a simple task and make it extraordinarily complicated by utilizing as many steps as possible. This will take place on Saturday, February 20th, 2010 with the high school
competition tentatively beginning at 12:00 p.m. Registration forms must be postmarked by November 30th, 2009 and registered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
PURDUE UNIVERSITY – Alpha Phi Omega Outstanding Student Scholarship- created to recognize a high school senior who has demonstrated leadership, friendship and service in their community and school. The award is a one-time monetary scholarship of $500.00 and a recognition certificate to be presented publicly. The student must be accepted and enrolled at Purdue University, West Lafayette campus, for the fall semester immediately following his or her graduation. SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS COLLEGE – Saint Mother Theodore Guerin Scholarship is a competitive scholarship and requires that students be admitted to the college before consideration. There will be 10 renewable SMWC scholarship, ranging value from $13,000-$20,000 to students nationwide who, like Saint Mother Theodore Guerin have the desire to use their unique aptitudes, knowledge, skills and determination to make an impact on the world around them. Applications can be submitted in person, online, via US mail or overnight express and must be postmarked by January 1, 2010

UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI - Cincinnatus XIII – You must apply early (the deadline is December 15, 2009) so that you may be considered for this scholarship. To receive an invitation, seniors with a minimum 3.2 unweighted g.p.a. must submit a completed admission application, transcript, and test scores.
UNIVERISTY OF EVANSVILLE
Nominations are now being accepted for several scholarships at the University of Evansville. If you have excelled and wish to be nominated for one of their scholarships check out the Financial Aid Information Sheet, in the school specific scholarship box in room 144, and contact Mrs. Stine for her nomination.
The University of Evansville offers a several Competitive Scholarships. The Dean’s Scholarship candidates who are not offered one of these awards will receive a minimum merit award of $12,000 per year.
The Trustee Scholarship (67percent to full tuition) - for students who rank number one in their high school senior class are candidates for this award. Must visit the campus by April 10, 2010 and IN residents must file the FAFSA by March 10, 2010. Renewable for 4 years
The Dean’s Scholarship (67-75 percent tuition) – for students who rank in the top 5% of their senior class along with the same requirements/deadlines as the Trustee Scholarship. Renewable for 4 years.
Fine and Performing Arts Scholarship ($5,000-$15,000 per year) – Based on the student’s high school record: GPA, course difficulty, class rank, SAT or ACT scores. Auditions or portfolio presentations are required. Renewable for 4 years.
Freshman and other Academic Scholarships – Consideration for these awards will be given to those Students who apply by December 1, 2009. All applications for admission must be received by February 1, 2010.

Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholars – student who combine outstanding academic achievement with strong leadership and contributions outside the classroom.
Chancellor’s Scholars – students with outstanding high school records who have worked to build strong high school communities by bridging gaps amount economically, socially and racially diverse groups and who have demonstrated significant interest in issues of diversity education, tolerance and social justice.
Ingram Scholars – students with outstanding high school records who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to community service.
